The Zürich Opera House recently hosted its inaugural benefit gala, 'A Night at the Opera,' a dazzling event that brought together luminaries from the worlds of art, business, and society. The gala, attended by 500 guests, aimed to support youth initiatives, including the newly formed Children’s Opera Orchestra.
Highlights included performances by opera stars like Elīna Garanča and Regula Mühlemann, alongside a sneak peek of the upcoming ballet premiere of 'Romeo and Juliet.' The evening was further elevated by a gourmet three-course meal prepared by Michelin-starred chef Stefan Heilemann.
The gala also featured a silent auction with unique experiences, such as private concerts and dinners, as well as the debut of the Opera House Award. This year’s recipient, 'FemaleClassics,' was recognized for its efforts to promote unheard works by female composers.
With its blend of high culture, philanthropy, and exclusive luxury, the event not only raised funds but also set a new standard for cultural philanthropy in Zürich.
