Zermat x Ritz-Carlton

The first Ritz-Carlton ski resort in Europe is going to open its doors in 2026

Once open, the property will serve as the second hotel branded by Ritz-Carlton in Switzerland, joining The Hotel de la Paix, Geneva. Together with Zermatt-based alpinist and hotelier Mario Julien and Paris-based architectural practice and design studio AW², Marriott group is going to create a place celebrating tranquility of mountain scenery keeping views of Matterhorn from both guestrooms and dining establishments (two restaurants, two bars, an outdoor terrace for alfresco dining, and a private dining room for intimate gatherings).

Zermatt famous for excellent après-ski possibilities and shopping, affords unrivalled skiing for all levels. The Ritz-Carlton will bring ‘ski-in ski-out’ access to the slopes, spa and swimming pools, meeting and event facilities. But expect also climbing across the Matterhorn peak and easy access to Cervinia in Italy for off-piste, heli-skiing and glacier skiing in the summer months.
