On Tuesday 18 August 2020, Ivan Artolli, Managing Director of Hotel de Paris MonteCarlo and Olivier Wenden, Vice President and CEO of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation met in the Salon Churchill of the Le Grill restaurant to sign the Mr.Goodfish partnership agreement.

Mr.Goodfish was born of the idea of fish overconsumption. That's true, some marine species sometimes become so popular between eaters that industry professionals stop fishing it for a period to save the population. Sustainable consumption of seafood product is a pretty new idea. Special initiative for its promotion was launched just in 2010 by Ivan Artolli, Managing Director of Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, under the aegis of the Nausicaa aquarium. Step by step, the initiative was supported by the other legendary Monaco organisations:  Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort and Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, Café de Paris Monte-Carlo, Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo and, of course, the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco. The latest is specially focussed on preserving marine area of Monaco. The idea is to promote species recommended on the Mr.Goodfish lists, not so popular at the moment, and to get double benefit - both for the restaurant lovers that opens new delicious tastes for themselves, and for the nature.

We strongly support this initiative! And the list of supportive restaurants is growing bigger day by day.
