One brand, two art collaborations

Early autumn is harvest time, the same principle applies to art. Following this natural vibes, Hennessy presented two artistic collaborations with the brand.

The first one, collaboration with Faith XLVII. She is the first female artist to join the Limited Editions series, an artistic lineage that features Kaws, Shepard Fairey, Felipe Pantone, Vhils, JonOne, Os Gemeos and Futura. So you can see that brand is oriented at dynamic, street or pop-culture artists. And South African-born and Los Angeles-based Faith XLVII made funny challenge in this list. As an artist, she moved from graffiti to studio art, changed her original tag Faith47 to Faith XLVII.  And this signature really fits better to the old walls of Château de Bagnolet, the Maison’s historic seat in Cognac. She visited Château and observed the process of selecting eaux-de-vie - fruit brandies produced by means of fermentation and double distillation. These observations resulted in one golden-brown painting which you can find on the pack of 2020 Hennessy Very Special Limited Edition. Golden-brown artwork, cognac colours. 

The second announced collaboration of Hennessy brand, and i am really waiting to watch it by my own eyes - fireworks performance by famous artist Cai Guo-Qiang. With massive fireworks  launched from 150 oaks barrels Hennessy are going to celebrate150th anniversary of its world-famous X.O.

'While the fireworks express my contemplation on tragedy, art, and the essence of life, I hope the audience will draw inspiration from the fireworks in order to reconcile with nature and find the power to heal.'

The artist said that it was inspired by Nietzche’s “The Birth of Tragedy.” So, let's see how pathetic it could be.
